Skyridge Takes Down Corner Canyon 37-27.

Corner canyon vs Skyridge was a key matchup on paper for two of the best schools in the state matching up. Instead, Skyridge jumped out fast and held on to beat Corner Canyon 37-27 on Friday night.

It was a rough start to the game for Corner Canyon, as the Chargers threw two pick-sixes in the first quarter alone on the way to five total interceptions on the night. Skyridge was completely dominant early on, jumping out to a commanding 27-0 lead in the early second quarter.

Corner Canyon started to look a little better as the game went on, but the offense only found a slight rhythm and it just wasn't enough to stop Skyridge. Skyridge quarterback Jagger Fountaine threw for 241 yards, but the player of the game has to go to Skyridge running back Beckham Bennett, who powered the offense with 13 carries for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns.

It was a great win for Skyridge, and they will look to keep things rolling next Friday when they face Lone Peak.
