United Football League is coming to Utah in 2028

The United Football League (UFL) is officially heading back out west. As part of the league’s continued multi-year growth plan, the UFL has announced that Utah will join the league as an expansion franchise, slated to kick off its inaugural season in 2028.

For its home field, the new Utah franchise will call America First Field in Sandy home. Best known as the fortress for Major League Soccer’s Real Salt Lake and the NWSL's Utah Royals. Holding a seating capacity of around 20,000, America First Field presents what many league executives consider the perfect footprint for spring football.

Utah has long proven itself to be a premier football-hungry market, consistently packing stadiums at the high school, collegiate level. Excited to see how this turns out.
